
Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged
Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as in the sectors led shares .
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PhosAgro PJSC (MCX:PHOR), which rose 0.38% or 25.00 points to trade at 6,595.00 at the close. Meanwhile, NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK) added 0.31% or 3.60 points to end at 1,170.00 and Moskovskaya Birzha PJSC (MCX:MOEX) was up 0.31% or 0.53 points to 171.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:CBOM), which fell 1.07% or 0.09 points to trade at 8.11 at the close. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX:TATN) declined 0.50% or 3.00 points to end at 599.50 and Rostelekom PJSC (MCX:RTKM) was down 0.37% or 0.22 points to 58.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 111 to 86 and 34 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 37.67.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.25% or 52.80 to $4,269.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.55 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.78% or 0.49 to trade at $62.38 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.58% to 77.50, while EUR/RUB fell 0.57% to 89.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 99.41.
