Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as in the sectors led shares .

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT), which rose 0.61% or 0.31 points to trade at 50.92 at the close. Meanwhile, PIK SHb PJSC (MCX:PIKK) added 0.45% or 1.80 points to end at 401.90 and Polyus PJSC (MCX:PLZL) was up 0.39% or 8.40 points to 2,158.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were LUKOIL PJSC (MCX:LKOH), which fell 2.13% or 109.00 points to trade at 5,005.50 at the close. NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK) declined 0.87% or 9.40 points to end at 1,068.00 and Transneft PJSC Pref (MCX:TRNF_p) was down 0.68% or 9.00 points to 1,249.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 127 to 94 and 19 ended unchanged.

The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 35.31.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.39% or 100.30 to $4,094.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.39% or 1.40 to hit $59.95 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.19% or 1.38 to trade at $64.39 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 0.19% to 80.85, while EUR/RUB rose 0.08% to 93.96.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 99.20.
