
Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged
Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as in the sectors led shares .
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Surgutneftegas PJSC (MCX:SNGS), which rose 0.44% or 0.09 points to trade at 20.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT) added 0.38% or 0.19 points to end at 50.80 and Novolipetsk Steel (MCX:NLMK) was up 0.36% or 0.36 points to 99.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LUKOIL PJSC (MCX:LKOH), which fell 0.28% or 14.50 points to trade at 5,100.00 at the close. T Tekhnologii MKPAO (MCX:T) declined 0.20% or 5.80 points to end at 2,918.20 and ROSSETI PJSC (MCX:FEES) was 0.19% or 0.00 points to 0.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 142 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 35.31.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.39% or 100.30 to $4,094.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.39% or 1.40 to hit $60.09 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.19% or 1.38 to trade at $64.39 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.19% to 80.85, while EUR/RUB rose 0.08% to 93.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 99.20.
