Investing.com -- Boeing Defense workers in the St. Louis area voted Thursday to accept the company’s latest contract offer, ending a 101-day strike that disrupted fighter jet production and other military programs.

The walkout, which began on August 4, involved approximately 3,200 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers’ District 837 (IAM). These employees assemble Boeing’s F-15 and F/A-18 fighter jets, T-7 trainer aircraft, munitions, and wing sections for the 777X commercial jet.

During the prolonged labor dispute, F-15 deliveries to the U.S. Air Force were disrupted, and production slowed across several key defense programs.

Workers had been demanding higher ratification bonuses and improved retirement plan contributions throughout the negotiations. Boeing largely maintained its position during the strike, refusing to substantially change its terms.

On Monday, the company made a unilateral revision to its offer, increasing the upfront cash incentive to $6,000 from the previously proposed $3,000, while reducing the overall bonus package.
